Dr. Courtney Hughes, PT, DPT
I’ve been working as a physical therapist for over two decades, with experience across a wide range of settings including acute care, rehabilitation, home health, pediatrics, and long-term care. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on helping people improve their function, reduce pain, and feel more confident in their bodies—no matter their starting point.
I recently expanded my training into pelvic health and am currently working toward my CAPP-Pelvic certification through the APTA. I’ve completed coursework in pelvic floor function and bowel dysfunction, with additional training in pelvic pain and related conditions underway. I also have a background in Pilates-based rehabilitation, which continues to influence how I approach movement, strength, and body awareness in my care.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors. I’m an avid mountain biker and have completed an Ironman 70.3. I also enjoy skiing, traveling, and continuing to learn—whether that’s through current research, health and wellness topics, or simply finding new ways to stay engaged and active.
My Treatment Style
I take a thoughtful, individualized approach to treatment, drawing on both experience and current evidence to guide care. I believe in meeting patients where they are and creating a plan that is realistic, adaptable, and aligned with their goals. My focus is on helping patients build a better understanding of their body, improve function, and make steady, meaningful progress over time.
